The Deltaco e-Charge EV-3213 charging cable fits all vehicles with a Type 2 socket for those who want to charge via a public charger or their own home charging box with a Type 2 socket, the so-called Mode 3 charging. The cable is made of a TPE material that offers good resistance to oil, abrasion, and UV light. The cable remains flexible even in cold conditions. Type 2 sockets are now the EU standard; cars from manufacturers such as AUDI, BMW, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen, Volvo all use Type 2 sockets. Charging the car is monitored by bidirectional communication between the car and the charger. When plugging the cable into the car, a self-test is performed to ensure the cable is correctly connected and the car is ready to receive power before charging begins and the cable is energized. The contacts are mechanically locked, protecting against theft and unauthorized use during charging. After charging, unlock the car so the mechanical lock opens, and first remove the charging cable from the car side to disconnect it from the charger.
