| The stericlin® Highline instrument protection caps are available in various designs specifically developed for instrument protection. When using these easy-to-apply protective caps, the tips and edges of instruments are protected from damage during sterilization or transport. Additionally, the Highline protective caps help prevent damage to the sterile barrier system (e.g., transparent packaging) and avoid cuts and puncture injuries to personnel. For increased patient safety, stericlin® Highline instrument protection caps deliberately do not have perforations, as current technology cannot produce them completely burr-free. Especially when used with sharp-edged instruments, it is possible that particles may detach from the holes in the protective cap. To ensure very good flow of the sterilization medium around the instruments even without perforations, the protective caps are equipped with internal knobs. These prevent the caps from fitting too tightly and fully against the instruments, thus reliably enabling successful sterilization. All variants are suitable for steam sterilization. |
